Fishtank Tracker

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 18, 2026 · Developer: Kyle Cosper (Kyle Tech Corner), USA

Fishtank Tracker ("the app") is an offline-first aquarium water-quality tracker. Your privacy is simple to describe because the app is built to keep everything on your device.

The app collects no personal data. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There is no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking.

Data we collect

None. The app has no account system and does not require sign-in. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.

Where your data lives

All data you enter — tanks, water-test readings, photos, and notes — is stored locally on your device in an on-device database. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable the optional sync feature and point it at a server you control.

Camera

The app can use your device camera to read aquarium test strips. Images are processed entirely on-device to estimate water parameters and are not uploaded anywhere. The app does not access your photo library unless you choose to import an image.

Optional self-hosted sync

The app includes an optional sync feature that is turned off by default. If you enable it and configure your own server URL, water-test data is sent only to that server, which you operate and control. No data is ever sent to the developer.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
